In 1987, Gerardo Jose Cuadra and Francisco Javier Cuadra opened a truck delivery service called Gerardo J Cuadra Mexican Food in Homestead, Florida. Through hard work and a focus on the core values of customer service, integrity, and innovation, the two brothers expanded their distribution network, gradually offering a wider assortment of products, adding more trucks, hiring more employees, and building a state-of-the-art distribution center in the Kendall suburb of Miami, Florida.

Today, Dismex is one of the largest distributors of Hispanic food and beverage products in Florida serving more than 2,000 customers state-wide. The company employs more than 75 dedicated individuals and maintains over 50,000 square feet of warehouse and office space as well as satellite warehouses to support its rapidly-growing distribution network.
